Since 2000, I have counselled individuals and couples with fertility concerns on how to improve chances of conception with naturopathic therapies. Whether you are planning on conceiving in the near future and would like pre-conception care, or you are currently receiving conventional medical treatment, I want to help you to be at your healthiest and most fertile.
One of the biggest worries I've seen is women between the ages of 35 to 44 who are being told they are too old, and that their eggs are too old. While this is a valid concern, I have seen many women in this age group improve their health to the point where they were able to have successful IVF cycles with their own eggs, and in some cases get pregnant naturally. The key to this success is weekly acupuncture treatment and following a fertility nutritional and lifestyle plan that is tailored to you.
You will be supported with safe and effective natural therapies, based in science.
For many, fertility issues are worsened by nutritional deficiencies or lifestyle issues such as smoking, consuming too much alcohol, or being sedentary. You can expect to improve both your fertility and your health with naturopathic fertility care.
I can assess and help you to add in nutraceuticals (nutritional supplements) specific to your fertility issue. You may need to take on a cleansing or elimination diet for a period of time. I will work with you, step by step, to ensure that we do everything that is naturopathically possible to help you improve your fertility and your health.
Acupuncture support is recommended for women dealing with infertility. Acupuncture has been shown to improve circulation to the reproductive system and increase relaxation. It is especially helpful around IUI and IVF treatments.
I work with patients from the CReATe Fertility Centre, LifeQuest Centre for Reproductive Medicine, TCART, Centre for Fertility and Reproductive Health at Mount Sinai, Hannam Fertility Centre, First Steps Fertility, as well as patients of Dr. Ky Li and Dr. Patrick Hewlitt. In the west end of Toronto, I have also supported patients from Toronto West Fertility Clinic, The Reproductive Care Centre or RCC (formerly ISIS Fertility Clinic), and ASTRA Fertility Group. All of this experience has earned me a reputation for safe and effective care when supporting medical fertility patients.
Naturopathic Medicine is founded on the premise that healing can occur through stimulating the body's natural healing abilities with the use of nutrition, nutritional
supplementation, herbal medicines*, acupuncture, and physical therapies.
*Herbal medicine is not recommended while on fertility drugs during IUI or IVF cycles.
